6 totally proven ingredients
L-Taurine
Taurine plays a key role in the development of the central nervous system, which controls thought and emotion. So if your dog suffers from stress, anxiety, restlessness or has a fear of loud noises – then it’s vital that their diet has adequate amounts of taurine. Most dog foods are low in taurine, so a supplement containing taurine, such as Total Calm, is the ideal way to ensure that your dog is getting a sufficient amount of this important amino acid.
Inositol
Inositol is a B vitamin, which is involved in a range of biological functions. It is well-researched and has been shown to promote calmness; reduce anxiety and lower stress levels. It’s because of these benefits that we’ve included a healthy dose of Inositol in Total Calm.
L-Theanine
L-Theanine is a safe and effective amino acid that has been shown to reduce anxiety in dogs alongside decreasing the behaviours associated with stress, such as persistent barking and destruction.
Thiamine
Thiamine is an anti-stress and anti-anxiety nutrient that has proven to be particularly beneficial in dogs. Total Calm contains a leading dosage, which has the added benefit of improving the quality of your dog’s sleep.
Ginger Extract
Supplementing with ginger has a whole host of benefits, but most notably in relation to stress and anxiety – ginger has been shown to increase serotonin and dopamine levels, both of which are important for reducing anxiety levels.
Magnesium
Magnesium is another micronutrient that has proven benefits in relation to anxiety and stress. It binds to calming receptors and reduces cortisol production – with both mechanisms helping to promote a sense of calm and peace within your dog.

FAQs
In the majority of instances, dog owners notice an improvement in their dogs disposition within 2-4 weeks of usage. That said, every dog is unique and some dogs may show signs of improvement almost immediately, whilst others may take longer. Some of the ingredients in Total Calm, such as Theanine, require continuous usage to yield benefits – so it is best to use Total Calm on an ongoing basis, as opposed to on one-off occasions.
Total Calm can be used indefinitely, unless otherwise advised by a medical professional. It is a safe, natural and highly effective supplement and provides your dog with a range of nutrients that also have health benefits outside of those specifically for calming and relaxation.
Total Calm contains chicken flavouring and the vast majority of feedback we receive is that dogs will happily consume it as a tablet given by hand, or crushed into a powder and mixed in with food.
We suggest waiting until your puppy is a minimum of 12 weeks old before using Total Calm.
Yes. The natural ingredients in Total Calm are all vegan friendly.
Yes. The majority of calming supplements are perfectly safe for dogs. Total Calm contains ingredients found within foods, or that are already synthesised by the body, and so to this extent is a natural supplement. Some over-the-counter products that a vet may prescribe are more medicinal and therefore more likely to have unwanted side effects.
The vast majority of feedback we receive is that Total Calm has had a noticeable impact on their dog’s demeanour and behaviour. That said, and much like with humans, there are always “non-responders” to supplements, so there is no guarantee that it will work. As it is a natural remedy, we believe that it is worth trying prior to using stronger medicines that a vet may prescribe.
Total Calm is not recommended for pregnant or lactating bitches. Additionally, if your dog is under medical supervision, then we would suggest consulting a vet prior to use.
